4. i've been suffering from insomnia recently and it suckkkkks.

i had nooo idea insomnia was such a terrible feeling. I've NEVER had a problem falling asleep so i never understood how people can be so affected by it. I've been putting myself into bed at about midnight recently but i can't get to sleep until about 3am even though i try so hard and don't get out of bed!!! For the past few nights i've read through my phone inbox 234864 times, played snake (haha, yah, oldskool), fiddled around with n-gage demos, and even tested out the converter, barcode reader, everythingggg!

i couldn't take it last night i swallowed two flu tablets just so i could sleep ):

had trouble finding our hotel because the irresponsible coach just dropped us off at some public carpark (?!) but we found it anyhoo. Had also wanted to take photos! but it's seriously nothing worth taking anyway hahahaha.


by the time we settled down it was also already like 9pm but we headed to ximending 西門町 anyway (like 3 mins from our hotel!)



first food place we stopped by (i ended up eating ALOT of luwei throughout the whole trip ^^)


checked out the 100+ channels on tv before discussing plans with wen regarding day 2. which crazy tourist touches down on day one at 9pm, and heads to the airport at 8am the next morning again? HAH.

appearance of shorts (without leggings!)

awesome temperature! It was rare 24~27degrees, a great difference from the usual 16degrees we've been experiencing. and that day we were headed for Muzha Zoo! 木柵動物園! Their attraction is the two pandas, 團團 and 圓圓. Turns out the panda enclosure is really restricted and you can only visit the enclosure once! ): ended up only checking out their butties D:

went into the noctural house after checking out the pandas. it was pretty boring apart from this crazy smart owl who kept posing for cameras. as in he really looooked into each camera when you held it up. most of the other animals were sleeping. and there was this other nasty owl that just shat (haha) when everyone was watching D:


the only animal that was close enough to the visitor side of the enclose to allow me to take photos of it closeup like that.



so we were looking for the zoo's other attraction, the koala bears and the sign led us to this flight of stairs D:


we were about to reach the entrance/exit area and we still haven't seen the koala! ): the 4 of us were about to give up when we saw the sign. we passed it on the way in and were totally oblivious! stupid stairs...

the three koalas were in glass enclosures and they were all sleeping (too) and reflection from the glass was really really bad this was my only decent shot ):

this zoo has tons of sleeping animals, flowers... and butterflies (which attack). thus Jayden has many many botanic garden alike photos but they'll bore everyone. i'll post some up anw hahaha.


and when we decided we had enough of the zoo this Deaflympics event started and the mascot was really cute so we stopped and snapped.


but he couldn't see where he was going so he just kept walking and walking... straight into my camera!! O___O

we took a free shuttle to the city hall area, where we walked to the train station to taipei train station then we walked somemore to have lunch. my feet were about dying i swearrrrrr. i can't stop complaining about how much i walked in Taiwan.


after lunch we continue walking and shopping before it turned dark and since we were around the area we decided to stop by Stage. Passed a fruit stall on the way~


hotel to just slack, write letters and all before sending wen & her friend to the metro station. she proposed another crazy plan so.... thanks weng for accompanying me!

bought Ireland's Potato back to our hotel to mum first.

the onion rings are like daaammmnnnnn good! bathed and changed and left the hotel at like 11pm. Managed to find the place, it was super chilly and weng and I were totally not dressed for it. haha. waited abit before the arrival of the red skinnies (shudder) :x crept around and complained before we decided to head back. again, thanks weng! (: we reached back at 1-ish while wen only got back at 4am! ):
